Who is Tony Kariotis?
I’m a Greek-American entrepreneur, creator, and community builder. I founded the largest Greek-focused social media network, including @greece on Instagram and TikTok, and built the most recognized Greek-American basketball tournament in the U.S. With over 1 million followers across platforms, I share stories, organize events, host the Greece Chats podcast, and use media to connect the world to Greece. In 2021, I took Greece by storm with my viral comedy series Ep! Apagorevete, which became a cultural moment across the diaspora and in Greece, and helped spark a new wave of Greek digital storytelling.
What does Tony Kariotis do?
I build platforms that connect the world to Greece, and Greeks to each other. Through my company, Greece Media, I offer Greek citizenship and property inheritance assistance, plan luxury travel experiences, manage large-scale marketing campaigns for Greek brands, publish photography books, and host a long-running podcast. I also organize high-impact events, including Greek networking nights, comedy shows, and cultural experiences across the U.S. and abroad.
I also run the @greece and @iamgreece social media brands, two of the most recognized Greek travel and culture platforms online — where I create viral content that celebrates everyday life in Greece. In 2021, I took Greece by storm with the Ep! Apagorevetecomedy skit series, blending humor and identity in a way that resonated across generations.
I’m the founder of the Teddy K Classic, the largest Greek-American basketball tournament in the U.S., and I frequently speak at events in both the U.S. and Greece on topics related to media, identity, entrepreneurship, and the global Greek experience.

For nearly two decades, I’ve coached high school aged basketball, going on 18 years now. I’m the winningest coach in my league’s history, with over 16 championships across playoffs, tournaments, and more.
I've also been honored as Coach of the Year six times.
Coaching has been a way to help shape young boys into men, using basketball as a vehicle for discipline, confidence, and growth.
I bring a deep understanding of the game, not just as a fan, but as someone who’s studied winning at every level. That mindset fuels everything I do: lead with purpose, stay committed, and help others grow.
My work has always been rooted in community, leadership, and giving back. For nearly 10 years, I served as the Youth Director at my local Greek Orthodox church, helping guide teens in faith, identity, and service until I stepped down in 2017. Since 2009, I’ve awarded over 50 scholarships through The Teddy Kariotis Foundation, using the annual Teddy K Classic basketball tournament to support and uplift the next generation.
I also have a passion for real estate and investing. I approach both with the same mindset I bring to my creative and community work — long-term vision, strategic growth, and a belief in building things that last.
Beyond Greece, I care deeply about creative storytelling, mentoring youth, and helping people grow, whether through sports, culture, or business. Everything I do is grounded in purpose and connection.
